GMO Alert – Recommended Film & useful links
2009 June 17
If you care about where you food is coming from, which I think most of you do, you simply must see The World According to Monsanto. It is truly eye opening, especially if you don’t know much about GM (Genetically Modified) foods and the tremendous effect that they have on our health and the environment and the livelyhood of small crop farmers all over the world.
If you want to find out more about GE (Genetically Engineered) or GMO foods a great site to visit is the True Food Network -

They have also come up with the Consumers Guide to GE Foods – http://truefoodnow.org/genetically-engineered-foods/

Here’s another great documentary about GM food – http://www.thefutureoffood.com/
Thank you for the link to the documentary…
We recently watched Food inc. the movie and were appalled at how successful these large corporation were able to sway our government into making laws in favor of the corporate agenda.
I am also appalled at my elected officials for allowing this to happen. Thanks to these two documentaries and a hunger to make a difference, I am an empowered consumer ready to fight the dominating giants and bring them to their knees…
Way to go! My husband and I watched Food Inc two times; the second time, I took notes! I’m hoping to visit Polyface Farms when we go on vacation next month. I thought I was eating healthy before, but I went home and threw away lots of so-called “health” foods. I’m now on a campaign to contact all the companies whose food I will no longer eat and tell them why. I contacted Kashi foods and all I got in the mail was a coupon for a free product and a note that said “we appreciate our customers” blah-blah-blah! They aren’t listening, but they will when a LOT of us stop buying DEAD GMOs! I encourage everyone to look into Weston A. Price foundation. I started doing only sprouted grains and in one week, the bathroom scale finally started to budge downward!
I am with you Denise. I am soo upset that these companies are able to do whatever they want because they are not regulated. It just seems unreal that we, the consumer, are left in the dark and the fact that these companies can produce this harmful food. They are reluctant to label this food because they know it makes you sick. What is worst is that the people who are in charge of regulating these products are apart of the problem, they come from these companies like Monsanto, worried about themselves and their greed.
